The Best of Times

Clara is such a happy little girl and it doesn't take much to entertain her. She loves to read, go for rides in the car, pet the dog, screech at the kitty, point at herself in the mirror, and wave goodbye. She plays "so big" on her own now and it's so cute that she remembers how to do it every time you ask her. I want to spend every waking moment with her so it's tough for me to get to the computer to update the blog so I appologize for the once a month post. At least you get to see a ton of pictures right? James' brother took this photo the day after she turned 9 months.

I try taking pictures of her and sometimes I get lucky but most of the time she tears down my "backdrop" and decides to roll over or put her hand in her mouth :)

Her sleeping positions have become hysterical, she's a very active sleeper. Last week she was suffering from a cold and really just wanted to snuggle with mom. I brought her into our bed and I have to say, she's like sleeping with a tornado. Arms and legs, hands and feet everywhere!


We were feeling like we didn't have any toys for the poor girl last weekend so we picked up this scooter. I didn't think she would be able to sit on it yet at 9 months but she balances very well and she loves it! Thankfully she can't move it forward yet we haven't baby proofed the house.

Bath time is the ultimate in Clara's life these days. There is nothing more important at that very moment than her bath. She loves standing at the edge of the tub and watching it fill with water.

She's starting to show interest in walking so we take her hands and try to get her to take a few steps. I think she may bypass crawling totally and go straight to walking.
