Four Months

Clara is now four months old and we are loving every minute of it. She is so entertaining and keeps us on our toes with what she's going to do next. I could sit and watch her all day and really wish I was able to. Thanksgiving was a great vacation and from work and daycare. Here are some photos of our trip to Pierre.
We are now working on the whole sitting thing. She's not doin' to bad! Here's Clara with Grandma Eich
Great Grandma Malsam

and Great Grandpa Malsam (he was teaching her how to Polka)

James' brother Pat (the wedding photographer) took this photo of Clara and Grandpa Watson at their Thanksgiving.

So I have to put a ton of photos on this update because it's been so long since we've written, so here goes...

I can't usually get Clara to smile for the camera because she still can't figure out what the big black thing that flashes at her is.

She has now figured out that when you holler and daddy taps your mouth it makes a funny noise!

This is the usual look when taking photos. I'm not complaining because she's cute as heck but it makes me look forward to when she will know the meaning of 'say cheese'.

Grandma Jane let Clara borrow her rattle from when she was a baby. She loves it,

Sometimes, she sleeps with it.

When we had Clara's 4 month check up she weighed 14lbs.14oz. The pediatrician said we could start feeding her rice cereal if we wanted to. Of course we couldn't wait to get home and try something new.

She looked like a little mouse in her new chair. I love how her tiny fingers just peeked over the tray.

Mmmmmm, cereal!

MORE PLEASE!

Hello, I found your blog from a link on Sylvia's. Your baby is so adorable - I love the name Clara. I have a 10 month old son, Haven. I remember giving him rice cereal -what a blast! Every little development is so fun.
